This is a quality piece of bedding, definitely waterproof, soft and no plastic feel or sounds. The only problem I have is the mattress protector stretches and leaves ripples under the sheets. My son is special needs, and has a little OCD so the creases under the sheet is an issue for him. He does move quite a lot during his sleep. I also tried sheet clips , and it still stretched. We just got a new mattress and upgraded our mattress cover to this SureGuard Queen Size Mattress Protector - 100% Waterproof, Hypoallergenic - Premium Fitted cover. I love it so much more than the one we bought at the Purple mattress store (don't do that). You don't even realize this cover is on. I got the cotton covered one and so far it seems to hold up to the hype of 100% waterproof. I have noticed no heat retention (and I would have noticed that, I sleep hot). The cover is thin, so no added bulk. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade (not to mention protect the investment of a new mattress!). I wish I'd found this sooner. (source: Amazon)

These do not wrinkle and rattle under the sheets. They will protect for the most part, but if a child or pet pees, and it's not immediately cleaned up, it will absolutely soak through this. Again, this is good, but it will not hold back overnight.

update: I've bought a ton of this product over the years. The manufacturer reached out to me. So there are specific care instructions you must follow. However 2 of the leaks were on brand new products. So I can't attest to the other failures if they were my fault for not following the care instructions. The manufacturer did replace the two that leaked when new. I do still recomend this product over others that I have tried. (source: Amazon)
